A brand-new souvenir set is available at our Collector Showrooms. It includes a stamp sheet of 8 postage stamps issued in 2007 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Order of St George insignia ornamented with a Georgian ribbon on a red velvet background.
The Order of St George was established by Emperor Alexander I on 13 February 1807 to award soldiers "for military merits and courage against the enemy". The insignia represented an unenameled silver cross and was worn on the chest on a black-yellow (orange) decoration ribbon of the Order of Saint George the Victorious.
The souvenir set is available at our online shop
