September 6, during the working visit to France, Oleg Dukhovnitsky, Head of the Federal Communications Agency and the General Director of JSC “Marka” met with Alexander Orlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia.
During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the joint issue of stamps dedicated to the legendary aviation regiment “Normandie-Niemen”, as well as the possibilities for further cooperation in the field of philately, were summed up.
The issue these stamps on a common theme was carried out for the first time. These stamps became part of a large-scale philatelic program dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
“The Federal Communications Agency and the joint-stock company “Marka” support the common pages in the history of the two countries by the release of various labeled products. So, in 2016 in the postal circulation was issued a marked card featuring the Russian Orthodox spiritual and cultural center and the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris, and in 2017 an artistic stamped envelope dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the visit of Peter I to France was issued,” said Mr. Dukhovnitsky.
