The ceremony took place as part of the opening of SVIAZ–2017 29th
International Exhibition of Information and Communication Technology. Leonid Levin, Head of the State Duma Committee on Informational Policy, Information Technologies and Communication; Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Vladimir Dmitriyev, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vice-President; and Sergey Bednov, Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre” General Director, took part in the event.
Sviaz Exhibition has been held since 1975 and is the largest telecommunication and information technologies event. It graphically demonstrates all the latest achievements and solutions, as well as the results attained by key business representatives. The exhibition encompasses all the industry sectors providing a full view on market trends and prospects. The exhibition annually confirms its status of a convenient platform to promote cutting-edge information and communication technologies.
“The Federal Communications Agency together with Joint-Stock Company “Marka” have contributed to promoting the achievements of communication and by issuing an artistic stamped envelope. By uniting the efforts of all the participants, we will be able to reinforce Russia’s standing in the world telecommunication market! And the envelope issued in a printrun of one million copies will help reach this goal. The envelope, which has hit the shelves of Russian post offices, will be used by citizens to send their mails, thus uniting them all over the country”, said Mr. Dukhovnitskiy.
