FSUE PTC “Marka” receives a high award at the 14th UPU International Competition Class



FSUE PTC “Marka” supervised by the Federal Communications Agency was awarded a silver medal at the 14th international competition class for issuing postal authorities of UPU member countries and their territories for the exhibit of state signs of postal payment of the Russian Federation.

An exhibit called “Philatelic Mosaic” is a stylized mosaic picture with panels composed of postage stamps, souvenir sheet and stamp sheets with illustrated margins issued in 2013–2015. All the stamps are accompanied by technical and thematic information in English. These best philatelic materials specially selected for the exhibit allow demonstrating a variety in topics and subjects, social focus and significance of products, as well as their high level of design and printing quality.

The competition class took place from 2 till 6 December 2016 in conjunction with CHINA 2016 Asian International Stamp Exhibition in Nanning, People’s Republic of China. 25 postal administrations from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Croatian Post Mostar, Republic of Srpska and Sarajevo), Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Guatemala, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, the State of Palestine, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Uruguay took part in the competition class.

International competition classes for issuing postal authorities of UPU member countries and their territories have been held since 2008. It provides an opportunity for issuing authorities to showcase an exhibit containing postage stamps, souvenir sheets and stamp sheets. FSUE PTC “Marka” have taken part in all these competitions.
