The Russian Historical Society Assembly Accepted FSUE PTC “Marka” to Its Ranks


On 1 November, the Presidium of the Council of the Russian Historical Society (RHS) unanimously decided to include FSUE PTC “Marka” to the RHS at the General Assembly of the Russian Historical Society.

Promotion of Russia’s historical and cultural legacy as a national pride is the basis of the national philatelic movement. Since 2013, more than 30 issues of signs of postal payment dedicated to the historical and cultural assets of our country are released every year within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation and Strategic Partnership between the Russian Historical Society and the Federal Communications Agency. Official cancelation ceremonies accompany main events of the Russian Historical Society.

The main topic of the the General Assembly of the Russian Historical Society was the 70th anniversary of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg. On this occasion, FSUE PTC “Marka” has prepared a souvenir sheet, which will be released into circulation on 13 December 2016.

Sergey Naryshkin, the Russian Historical Society Chairman and the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation; Anatoly Torkunov, the Russian Historical Society Co-Chairman and the Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations; and Aleksandr Chubaryian, Academic Adviser of the Institute of the World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Committee of Russian Historians Chairman; as well as other RHS members, historians and public figures took part in discussing the agenda.
