October 25, an official cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp and four postcards with an original stamp dedicated to the Federal Customs Service and outstanding public officials of the customs service took place



The ceremony took place in Moscow today. Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Vladimir Bulavin, Head of the Federal Customs Service; and Dmitry Strashnov, FSUE “Russian Post” Director General, took part in the event.

FCS of Russia is the central federal customs authority of the Russian Federation, which regulates customs via tariff and non-tariff measures. Having come a centuries-old way of development, the Russian customs may rightfully be proud of its history, traditions, achievements and devoted employees. State, political and public figures, as well as lawyers, economists, scientists, architects, common customs officials safeguarded the interests of the state at all times. Many of them left their mark in history as outstanding officials, who made a major contribution to the development of the Russian customs service.

The postage stamp features the FCS of Russia building and logo. The four postcards with an original stamp are dedicated to Alexander Vorontsov, Yegor Kankrin, Ernst Johann von Münnich, Afanasy Ordin-Nashchokin.

They are a postage stamp dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the FCS of Russia and 4 postcards of the History of Russian Customs series dedicated to outstanding public officials of the customs service. With the total circulation exceeding 300 thousand copies, the stamps and postcards will spread all over the country and the whole world telling everyone of the anniversary and the proud history of the FCS”, said Mr. Dukhovnitskiy.
