The 7th Research and Practice Workshop on History of Post and Philately with “Philately and Youth” topic took place in A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications in St Petersburg on October 11, 2016. Representatives of state, public and commercial organizations, as well as Russian collectors, took part in the event.
A philatelic exhibition under the same name was staged during the workshop; exhibits by sophisticated collectors, as well as by youngsters, on various subjects were showcased there. Exhibits by FSUE PTC “Marka” supervised by the Federal Communications Agency titled “State Awards” and “Crossing Russia” (the latest was successfully showcased in May 2016 in New York at a UPU competition class for issuing authorities) were very popular among guests and the audience.
A comprehensive collection of articles and other materials was published especially on the occasion. Fourteen reports on various subjects dealing with promoting philately among the youth were heard.
