September 26, an official cancellation ceremony of an artistic stamped envelope dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT) took place



The ceremony took place in Moscow today Maksim Sokolov, Minister for Transport of the Russian Federation; Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; and Boris Lyovin, the MIIT Principal, took part in the event.

The history of the university can be traced back to 1896, when the Imperial Moscow Engineering College of the Railroad Agency was founded to train railroad engineers in large numbers. Nowadays, it is the largest multi-facetted and strategically important higher education institution, Russia’s leader in training and professional development of specialists and academic personnel for transport and transport construction.



The envelope bears an image of the first building здание первого корпуса of the university and the MIIT logo.

“The Federal Communications Agency and FSUE PTC “Marka” issued an artistic stamped envelope in honor of the university’s 120th anniversary. The citizens of our country will be able to use it when sending their mails to any part of Russia; thus, the envelope will immortalize the history of the university”, said Mr. Dukhovnitskiy.
