September 14, an official cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp dedicated to Unified State Exam took place

The ceremony took place in Moscow today. Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Sergey Kravtsov, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science; Vladimir Filippov, Principal of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia; and Viktor Bolotov, Academic Advisor of the Education Quality Monitoring Center of the Higher School of Economics National Research University, took part in the event.



The Unified State Exam (USE) is the main form of graduation examinations in schools and a form of preliminary examinations in Russian universities since 2009.

The USE is administered by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) together with executive authorities that perform public management in education in constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign countries for graduates of schools at embassies, military units, etc.

The postage stamp features the USE logo and Choice of the Future motto. Additionally, FSUE PTC “Marka” has manufactured a first day cover and first day postmark for Moscow.

“I am positive the postage stamp will help enhance prestige of Russian education and the significance of the Unified State Exam in the education system. The unique envelopes featuring the signatures of the cancellation participants will forever remind us of the today’s event and become a philatelic rarity among collectors of the whole world”, said Mr. Dukhovnitskiy.
