September 6, an official cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp dedicated to Lukoil Oil Company took place



The event was took place in Moscow as part of the festive events dedicated to the company’s 25th anniversary. Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency, and Vagit Alekperov, PJSC LUKOIL President, signed the first day covers and applied souvenir postmarks on them.

The company’s history can be traced back to 25 November 1991, when the Government of the RSFSR issued the Decree No. 18 on establishing the LangepasUrayKogalymneft petroleum corporation. Nowadays, PJSC LUKOIL is one of the largest companies that extract oil and gas, and produce petroleum and petrochemicals. The company operates in 63 Russian regions and 35 countries of the world constantly expanding its reach.

The postage stamp depicts an oil industry worker against the background of an oil-producing complex. The stamp’s face value is 24 RUB and the printrun amounts to 224,000 copies. It will be available in all post offices all around the country and Collector Showrooms in 15 Russian cities.

Oleg Dukhovnitskiy congratulated the company staff with the anniversary. “Tremendous work requiring commitment, high level of responsibility and professionalism has been done over the past years. I am sure your proactive attitude and experience will further contribute to achieving high results to the benefit of Russia”, said the Rossvyaz Head.
