August 5, an official cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the city of Orel



A ceremony was held during celebration of City Day. Vladimir Shelihov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency, and Vadim Potomskiy, Orel Oblast Governor took part in the ceremony.

The postage stamp features a view of Orel and the anniversary logo. The postage stamp is issued in circulation of 330,000 copies, the face value is 24.00 RUB. The stamps will be available at the post offices across the country, as well as in the “Collector” showrooms in 15 cities in Russia; all postal service users will get a possibility to use these stamps to send their mails.



Vladimir Shelihov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency, congratulated the residents of Orel on City Day and wished new achievements for the city to continue the brightest pages of its history. “The stamp will be included in all international and Russian philatelic catalogs and will help to attract attention to the city both among Russians and abroad”, said Mr. Shelikhov.

Form of issue: sheet with illustrated margins of 15 (3×5) stamps.
