On 18 September, a souvenir sheet dedicated to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be issued. It is the first issue as part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Philatelic Program.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be the 21st edition of the tournament and is set to take place from 14 June until 15 July 2018. For the first time in history, Russia will host the FIFA World Cup™ and it will also be the first time the tournament is held simultaneously across two continents — Europe and Asia.
The souvenir sheet will have a round ‘ball’ shape and bear an image of the ultimate prize of the FIFA World Cup™ – the Official Trophy.
Additionally, FSUE PTC “Marka” will manufacture an illustrated cover with the souvenir sheet and first day covers with cancellations (Moscow) inside.
