June 20, an EWCS "All-Russian sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" is to be released into circulation

The first "Ready for Labor and Defense" set of was introduced in 1931 and has been focused on quality physical training. The complex consisted of running, jumping, gymnastics, discus, javelin-throwing,
shot put, swimming, cross-country skiing (for snowless areas - march or cycling), shooting (only for boys).

The participants were awarded gold or silver badge depending on the level of achievement.

March 13, 2013 at a meeting on the development of children's sports, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has offered to revive a sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" in the new format. March 24, 2014, the decree "On the All-Russian sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" was signed.

According to the decree of the Russian Government dated 11 June 2014, the complex includes 11 age groups (from 6 years to 70 years and older) and three levels of difficulty, corresponding to gold, silver and bronze insignia. Subjects of the Russian Federation may further include a set of two kinds of sports test, including national, military applications and the most popular sports among the youth.

The envelope with the original stamp depicts a golden insignia of All-Russian sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" of the sample 2014; on the main image is a silver badge of the sample 1941, a gold badge of the sample 1972, sports parade (Red Square, Moscow, 1939) and the modern "Ready for Labor and Defense" sports tests: cross-country skiing and pulling on the bar.




FSUE "Marka" Publishing and Trading Centre also released a special postmark (cancellation: Moscow).
