An exhibit of postage stamps of the Russian Federation “The 70th Anniversary of Victory” was awarded honorary diplomas at the philatelic exhibition held in Berlin and London

The philatelic exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Europe from Nazi invaders was held at the Russian Cultural Center in Berlin, from 11 to 13 May. The vernissage was organized by the National Academy of Philately, with the support of “Rossotrudnichestvo”.

The opening was attended by Vladimir Grinin, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Germany; Oleg Ksenofontov, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Berlin; Alexander Anisimov, Deputy Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Berlin; Hans Hoenester, Director of Publishing House “Michel”/President of the German Academy of Philatelic; representatives of the German philatelic communities, diplomats and journalists.

May 14, The National Academy of Philately presented an exposition dedicated to “The 70th Anniversary of the Victory over Fascism” and “The 175th Anniversary of the First Postage Stamp” at the XV London International Philatelic Exhibition.

The opening of the philatelic exhibition was attended by Alexander Yakovenko, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom; Evelyn Zhenta, the Ambassador of Monaco in the United Kingdom; Patrick Maselis, the President of the club “Monte Carlo”, representatives of the international philatelic organizations, including the Royal Philatelic Society, European Academy philately, the International Federation of Philately and others.

As a result of exhibitions The exhibit of postage stamps of the Russian Federation dedicated to “The 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”, presented by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre supervised by the Federal Communications Agency awarded honorary diplomas and medals.

The exhibit is a thematic collection of stamps “The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, issued between 1992 and 2015.
