On the eve of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre supervised by the Federal Communications Agency opens the first philatelic showroom on the Crimean Federal District.
Nowadays, seven philatelic showrooms already working in major cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk and Nizhny Novgorod.
Philatelic showroom in Sevastopol will offer its customers a wide range of production dedicated to the rich past and present of Russia, to cultural and natural sights of our country, and to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Citizens of Crimea and Sevastopol can purchase a variety of philatelic production and accessories.
A cancellation ceremony of a souvenir sheet “The 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” (date of release: 05.05.2015) will held as a part of the opening ceremony.
The stamp depicts the Victory Banner and logo “The 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945”. Sir A. Tedder, Air Chief Marshal of the Great Britain; G. Zhukov, Marshal of the Soviet Union; K. Spaatz, Colonel-General of the US Army and General Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, Commander of the French Army, during the signing of the unconditional surrender of Germany's armed forces are depicted on margins of a souvenir sheet.
An illustrated cover is prepared for the release with a souvenir sheet with one stamp and an FDC with cancellation (Moscow) inside.
