April 20, a cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp "State Program of Development of Voluntary Donorship Blood Service” was held

The participants of the event were Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Agency of Communications and Vladimir Uyba, Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.



In his welcoming speech, Oleg Dukhovnitskiy noted that the release of this postage stamp is dedicated to the National Donors Day, one of the most important social events: "This day is dedicated to the donors who donate blood for the benefit of the health and lives of strangers". Dukhovnitskiy also expressed the hope that the postage stamp will contribute to the development and promotion of “Blood Service” state program.



Vladimir Uiba reminded everyone that two postage stamps dedicated to blood donation were issued 50 years ago in the Soviet Union. He also thanked the Federal Communications Agency and FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre supervised by the Federal Communications Agency for the release of a new postal miniature.








The stamp depicts the procedure of blood donation and the logo of the State program of development of voluntary donorship "Blood Service".

In addition to the issue of a postage stamp an illustrated cover has been prepared for the release with one stamp and an FDC with cancellation (Moscow) inside.
