April 10, 2015 a cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp “The 50th Anniversary of the First Human Spacewalk” was held “Russian Song” Moscow State Music Theatre of Folklore.

The participants of the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Igor Komarov, Head of the Federal Space Agency; Alexey Leonov, Pilot-Cosmonaut; Viktor Gorbatko and Boris Volynov.



"Not everyone here knows that Alexey Leonov is a colleague of FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre. Besides astronautics he was interested in painting, and took pencils even in space. In the 70-80-ies some Soviet postage stamps were issued on the basis of his paintings and recognized the best in the Soviet Union "- said Oleg Dukhovnitskiy.



In his welcoming speech, Head of the Federal Communication Agency noted that the issue of a postage stamp was specially timed to celebration of the Cosmonautics Day: "A postage stamp gives us the opportunity to talk once again about the greatness of our country, love and devotion to the Motherland and to take thought about the people of exceptional courage and valor! We want to emphasize the importance of the feat of Alexey Leonov for the whole world!".





FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre prepared an illustrated cover in addition to the issue of a postage stamp. A block and an FDC with cancellation (Moscow; Vologda) are inside.
