Vladimir Shelikhov spoke about the work of subordinate enterprises of Rossviaz during the Great Patriotic War, and about the events that are held today to provide comfortable living conditions of signalers-veterans. Also he told about the philatelic program of FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: 85 stamps, 2 souvenir sheets, over 100 postal cards with commemorative stamp and envelopes with commemorative stamp are expected to be issued.
Commemorative stamps dedicated to weapons of the Victory, cities of military glory, medals for the defense and the capture of cities, the history of aviation, Heroes of the Soviet Union, who fell on the battlefield.
It is planned to issue 25 stamps (11 were already have been released into circulation), 1 souvenir sheet, about 20 EWCS and PCWCS this year. The production of more than 50 postmarks is also provided.
Vladimir Shelikhov shared the future plans, in particular about the upcoming cancellation ceremony of a souvenir sheet "The 70 years of Victory!". A cancellation ceremony is scheduled for May 5, as a part of an opening ceremony of a philatelic showroom in Sevastopol.
Dmitriy Strashnov was presented an action of the Russian. Due to this action the public lessons, dedicated to the anniversary of Victory will be held countrywide. in which the entire country will be held open classes at schools and universities dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory. Also he told about the issue of books "Victory Mail" and "Letter to a Veteran" with the compositions of participants of the contest "The best lesson of writing" inside.
A solemn transfer of 3 million copies of “Letter of a Veteran” cocked hats” (military letter-envelope, which has a triangle form) from the Federal Communications Agency to Russian Post was held at the end of the press conference.
"We hope that these little letters will warm the soul of our veterans as well as letters from home coming to the front. We admire them for their courage, bravery and love of the country ", - said Vladimir Shelikhov.
