A cancellation ceremony of a postage stamp “Dzerzhinsky Independent Operational Purpose Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia” was held on the eve of the Day of internal troops of the Russian Interior Ministry










The participants of the ceremony were Vladimir Shelikhov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Colonel-General Alexander Butin, First Deputy Chief of the Interior Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation; Major General Sergey Zakharov, Division Commander; Colonel-General Anatoly Shkirko, board member of the Association of veterans of military actions of ATS of the Russian Federation.

"Soldiers of our division always honorably perform tasks related to ensuring the country's national interests, the security of our citizens and the state as a whole. The issue of a postage stamp gives us the opportunity to talk once again about the greatness of our country, love and devotion to the Motherland, about the people of exceptional courage and valor, who protects our country", - said Vladimir Shelikhov.

The direction of the division has expressed a special gratitude to the organizers of the issuance of the first postage stamp dedicated to the oldest interconnection of internal troops of the Russian Interior Ministry.

The stamp (date of release: 21.03.2015) depicts the logo of Dzerzhinsky Independent Operational Purpose Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Order of Lenin, the Order of Zhukov, the Order of the October Revolution and the Order of the Red Banner.

An illustrated cover has been prepared for the release with one postage stamp and an FDC with cancellation (Moscow) inside.
