The participants of the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Alexander Zhuravskiy, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation; Irina Antonova, President of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts; Heinrich H. Martens, President of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Russian Germans.
"Richter is undoubtedly multi-faceted, multi-talented, bright personality. Suffice it to mention that he was the first Soviet citizen, who was awarded Grammy. We are especially interested in fact that in addition to virtuoso performance of vast repertoire, a musician collected paintings and painted in oils personally, "- said Oleg Dukhovnitsky. At the end of his speech, he called on all to learn the history of Russia, to love Russia and to collect stamps.
"An issue of EWCS is an opportunity to remind once again the greatness and the power of creativity of Svyatoslav Richter, the cultural heritage and pride of the nation", - said Alexander Zhuravskiy.
Irina Antonova narrated about the first concert Svyatoslav Richter at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, which took place April 14, 1949.
