March 18, 2015 a cancellation ceremony of postages stamps dedicated to the military counterintelligence officers was held at the Cultural Center of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation


 
 
The participants of the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Colonel General Alexander Bezverhniy, Head of the Military Counterintelligence of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation; Lieutenant General Leonid Shidlovskiy, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Military Counterintelligence Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. Alexander Riabukhin, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of State Security of Sevastopol said the welcoming speech.

"This release of postage stamps is the first step in the implementation of a large-scale philatelic program dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The victory over fascism was achieved not only by force of arms, but also by force of the morale. And we must cherish the memory of the heroic exploits of the heroes and pass it by inheritance from generation to generation! Love and defend the homeland! Learn the history by collecting stamps! "- said Oleg Dukhovnitskiy.

It is noteworthy that the cancellation ceremony is was held during the celebration of the Year of the Crimean spring, when the country celebrates the anniversary of the reunification of the Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. That’s why the stamps depict Alexander Galushkin and Pavel Silayev, participants of the defense of the Crimea and Sevastopol and heroes of counterintelligence of Black Sea Fleet", - said Leonid Shydlovskiy.

The son of Alexander Galushkin was attended this event. He expressed the gratitude to the organizers of the issue of postage stamps.

During the Great Patriotic War it was created the most powerful network of military counterintelligence in our country, and its tradition is still going on. The important strategic tasks of identifying of enemy agents, anti-sabotage, terrorism and desertion are performed due to counterintelligence officers. They often fought on the front lines.

Alexander Galushkin (1903-1942) - the military counter-intelligence of the Black Sea Fleet, battalion commissar, a member of the defense of the Crimea.

Pavel Silaev (1916-1942) - the military counter-intelligence of the Black Sea Fleet, junior political officer, a member of the defense of Sevastopol.
