The opening ceremony of the first in the Volga Federal District philatelic showroom of FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre, supervised by the Federal Communications Agency was held today in Nizhny Novgorod.
The participants of the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Valeriy Shantsev, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region; Dmitriy Panishev, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Sergey Kuchin, Minister of information technology, communications and media of the Nizhny Novgorod region; Artyom Adibekov, Director General of FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre.
"Today we are making one more step in the ambitious project to create a chain of philatelic showrooms with all types of philatelic items for customers of all ages and aesthetic preferences" - said Oleg Dukhovnitskiy.
"Support and development of the national philately is social important. Philately is part of the national heritage, national culture, national wealth, and an integral part of our society. Postage stamp is a piece of history. I had collected stamps and I think that is a wonderful occupation, since each postal miniature reflects cultural and historical heritage of our country, tells us about the architecture, painting, art"- said the Valeriy Shantsev, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Also a cancellation ceremony of a commemorative postage stamp, dedicated to the one of the jewels of the Nizhny Novgorod region - Kerzhensky reserve was held as a part of opening. Guests visited philatelic showroom and got acquainted with philatelic exposure, presented sketches of a postage stamp and a souvenir sheet of 2015 and dedicated to Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and the coat of arms of the city.
