February 19, a cancellation ceremony of the stamps depicting the Order of Courage and the Order of Friendship in the series “The State Awards of the Russian Federation” was held in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The participants of the ceremony were Igor Zubov, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency.
Igor Zubov stressed the importance of this event and thanked the Federal Communications Agency and FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre supervised by the Federal Communications Agency for the implementation of this project. “Today’s cancellation ceremony is a great reason to remind once again that there is always a place for heroism in our lives and we should remember those people who are risking their lives for the benefit of the Fatherland” - said Igor Zubov.
Oleg Dukhovnitskiy congratulated all employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the upcoming holiday - the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, stressing the importance of their work for the welfare and prosperity of our country.
It is symbolic that Igor Zubov is a Commander of the Order of Courage. Oleg Dukhovnitskiy was awarded the Order of Friendship “For a great contribution to the preparation and holding of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi” by a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation from September 1, 2014.
A series of postage stamps “The State Awards of the Russian Federation” is issuing by FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre from 2011. The Order of St. Andrew, the medal “Gold Star”, the Order of St. George, the Order “For Merit”, the Order of St. Catherine and some other awards have already been depicted on postage stamps.
Today three stamps depicting the Order of Nakhimov, the Order of Courage and the Order of Friendship are to be released into circulation.
13 stamps and 1 souvenir sheet were issued in the series “The State Awards of the Russian Federation”.
