A cancellation ceremony was held of a stamped postal card commemorating the first big sporting event in Crimea since the peninsular has joined Russia – a professional box fight for the title of the WBA regular world champion.
The participants in the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitsky, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Sergey Menyaylo, Acting Governor of Sevastopol; Sergey Zheleznyak, Deputy Chairman of the RF State Duma; Alexander Zaldostanov (nicknamed “The Surgeon”), the founder and leader of the “Night Wolves”, Russia’s oldest motorcycle club; and Vladimir Khryunov, the show producer and a sports manager .
This is the first time a postal card has been issued to commemorate a boxing fight.
The postal card depicts sportsmen boxing on the ring.
