March 13, FSUE Marka Publishing and Trading Centre summed up the results of voting for the best design of a postage stamp “Musical Instruments”, program “Europe”.
406 votes were considered in general. The highest number of votes (275) scored a sketch made by artist-designer S. Ulyanovsk.

Since 1956, the stamps of the program “Europe” were a symbol of Europe's desire for the closer integration and cooperation. These special stamps issued by European postal administrations and companies with the logo "EUROPA", a trademark “PostEurop”. Stamps were issued with the same design until 1973. Since 1974, the design of postal stamps was different, but the program was combined by the theme of the issue.
Since 1993 “PostEurop” became the organization responsible for issuing the stamps of the program “Europe”. Philatelic experts in the working group organize various competitions every year. Competition for the best postal stamp of the program “Europe” held since 2002. The winners of the contest became Malta, Monaco, Greenland, Iceland, Ukraine, Armenia, and Hungary.
