December 23, 2013 saw a ceremonial opening of a philatelic showroom at the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications in Saint Petersburg held by the “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre under the supervision of the Federal Communications Agency

Among the guests of the ceremony were Vladimir Shelikhov, Deputy Director, Federal Communications Agency; Aleksey Vassilyev, Deputy Chairman, Press and Media Relations Committee; Lyudmila Bakayutova, Director, S.A. Popov Central  Museum of Communications; and Artyom Adibekov, Director General, “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre.


After the opening, the guests saw around the showroom and philatelic produce available to the visitors. Later on a commemorative cancellation ceremony was held: the guests cancelled an unstamped postcard dedicated to the Saint Petersburg postal showroom of the “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre.



It is a well-known fact that there is a large number of stamp collectors among St Petersburgers, as well as those who love and are interested in stamps and other state signs of postal payment. From now on, any Saint Petersburg citizen or visitor to Russia’s northern capital can buy at this postal shop any products by the “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre, be that a postage stamp, pre-stamped envelope, greeting card or an official Catalogue for State Signs of Postal Payment of the Federal Communications Agency.
