Meetings of the Management Committee and the General Assembly of the World Association for the Development of Philately of the Universal Postal Union took place. The meetings were held in Wuxi (China, Jiangsu Province).
The 8th meeting of the Management Committee of the World Association for the Development of Philately of the Universal Postal Union (WADP) of the cycle 2009-2012 was held on November 12, 2011. FSUE PTC "Marka" is actively involved in the activities of the committee, heading the project team "Market development and trends".
On November 13, 2011, a meeting of the 12th General Assembly of the World Association for the Development of Philately of the Universal Postal Union (WADP) took place, within the framework of which philatelic conference "Philately and sustainable development" was held. Representatives of the Universal Postal Union and the postal administrations of the Russian Federation, France and China took part in the conference, as well as Security printers with presentations which demonstrated the recent developments in printing of stamps using alternative energy sources.
Presentation of FSUE PTC "Marka" was devoted to the ways of supporting sustainable growth in sales of philatelic products and attracting interest of stamp collectors.
The meeting was attended by representatives of postal administrations of the Aland Islands, Bahrain, Burundi, Denmark, Israel, China, Korea, Singapore, France, Faroe Islands, Sweden, and Tunisia.
International Competition Class for issuing postal authorities of UPU member countries and its territories was held within the framework of the events, where FSUE PTC "Marka" presented the exhibit of the State signs of postal payment of the Russian Federation. The Russian exhibit «WWW.RUSMARKA.RU» consists of 32 sheets and is a composition of postage stamps, souvenir sheets and miniature sheets, stylized under the web-site of enterprise, which displays the natural, cultural and architectural richness of our country.
