On January 1, 2024, Russia launched the Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS) National Project. The project defines the strategy for the development of unmanned aviation for the period until 2030-2035. The use of drones will make it possible to supplement or replace traditional business processes and solve production tasks with better efficiency.
Quadcopters are used in warfare, energy engineering, oil and gas industry, construction, urban management, transport and logistics, agriculture, geodesy and remote sensing.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, currently, the share of domestic drones on the Russian market makes about 24%. By 2030, the share of Russian drones should run up to 70%, and the total number of drones should rise from 12,000 to 32,500.
The postage stamp features operators of unmanned aircraft systems, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles of the BVS VT-45, BVS VT-440 and Geoscan 801 models.
