The Kaliningrad Amber Factory was established on July 21, 1947, on the basis of the Koenigsberg Amber Manufactory. This is the only Russia's and the world's largest industrial enterprise for amber mining and processing.
From the very beginning of the Factory operation, its main production was focused on manufacturing jewelry and fancy goods. By the mid-1960s, they accounted for 90% of the Factory total output.
Today, the Factory cherishes the traditions of high-quality amber processing and offers a wide range of jewelry in the classic and new look design.
The postage stamps present images of amber gifts: The Nest (1999), The Pomegranate (2005), The Nutcracker (2010), and The Bearskin (2014).
