World War II (01.09.1939-02.09.1945) was the biggest armed conflict in the history of mankind.
The fighting took place on the territory of three continents and in the waters of four oceans. Around 110 million people were intended in the armies of warring countries, the death toll was more than 65 million. War engulfed the territory of 40 countries of three continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, and the four Ocean theaters of military operations (Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Arctic Oceans). The Second World War has radically changed the international situation and became a tragic lesson for the nations of the world.
