№ 1378. 200th anniversary of the Higher Theatre School named after Mikhail Schepkin

The Higher Theatre School named after Mikhail Schepkin affiliated with the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia is one of the oldest educational institutions of Russia and the oldest drama school in Moscow. It was established by the decree of Emperor Alexander I, on December 28, 1809 and was aimed at raising the professional actors for ballet, and for legitimate theater.
