Boris Muzrukov, twice awarded the title of Socialist Labour, Major-General of engineer troops, Stalin Prize Winner and State prize Winner, freeman of Arzamas-16 city where an avenue was named after him. From 1939 till 1947 Boris Muzrukov was a director of the URALMASH engineering plant. He contributed to progress of home defense industry and development of new defense technology. A stamp bears Boris Muzrukov’s portrait, a tank (during war-time he organized tank production line at the URALMASH), PU symbol that means plutonium – Boris Muzrukov was at the head of the MAYAK industrial complex where the first industrial plutonium production reactor was constructed and put into operation.
