Diplomatic relations between Russia and Thailand were established in 1897, when king Rama V visited St.Petersburg. In the left part of the stamp there is the Great Palace (1714-1725, finished in 1728, author of the project unknown; by I.F.Braunstein, M.G.Zemtsov, J-M.Leblon, N.Miketti). In the right part of the stamp there is the Marble Temple (1898-1910), a monument to king Chualongkorn of Thailand (1869-1910). In the centre of the stamp there are the state flags of Russia and Thailand and the text "Russia – Thailand, the 100th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations" (in the Russian and Thai languages).
