June 2 of 2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Philippines. To celebrate this event, the two countries will issue a joint series of postage stamps featuring wildlife.
The greater jerboa is a dweller of open spaces, inhabiting deserts, forest-steppe and steppe zones.
The Philippine mouse deer is a species of mammals in the Tragulidae family, endemic to Balabac Island and the nearby smaller islands (Bugsuk and Ramos) southwest of the Palawan Province in the Philippines.
The postage stamps provide images of the greater jerboa living in Russia and the Philippine mouse deer living in the Philippines.
