On September 5, 2022, the 2nd International Tiger Forum will be held on the launch day of the Eastern Economic Forum that will bring together country leaders, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, scientists and international experts in the field of endangered species protection.
The countries of the tiger distribution area have increased the protection of the species and its habitats, stepped up the fight against poaching, and are carrying out systematic work to resolve conflicts between humans and tigers and to provide ecological education for the population.
The measures taken have made it possible to increase the total number of tigers in the wild. However, the situation with the tiger abundance and its trend varies from country to country.
The 10 countries participating in the joint issue are as follows: Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Kingdom of Cambodia, People's Republic of China, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Russian Federation, Republic of India, and Republic of Indonesia.
