Anna P. Ostroumova-Lebedeva (1871-1955) was an artist, printmaker and watercolorist. In 1889-1892, Anna P. Ostroumova-Lebedeva attended the Baron A.L. Stieglitz Central School of Technical Drawing. In 1892-1900, she studied at the Higher Art School of the Imperial Academy of Arts, from which she graduated with the rank of an artist specializing in engraving. From 1899, she took an active part in the activities of the Mir Iskusstva and Chetyre Iskusstva (since 1924) art groups. She was a participant of art exhibitions from 1900.
Anna Ostrumova-Lebedeva is one of the prominent and distinctive Russian painters. She is the author of a considerable number of watercolors and prints created under impressions from traveling about Russia and abroad. The artist’s engravings are available in the museums of Russia, France, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
