New year is the most beloved and long-awaited holiday for most people in Russia. Often the very first childhood memories are associated with this celebration, with a Christmas tree, gifts, Santa Claus and snow Maiden, streets decorated with garlands, fun and a lot of positive emotions.
New year's stamp 2020-winner of the all-Russian competition for drawing postage stamps and greeting cards for the New year and Christmas for citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18+, professional artists, students of creative educational institutions and non-professional artists (Amateurs). The postage stamp is based on the drawing of the contest winner Svetlana Kirgizova from Irkutsk. The postage stamp shows the author's drawing «Santa Claus, opening a magic book, looks at how people are happy about the new year».
