Vera Vasilyeva (1925–2023) was a Soviet and Russian theater and movie actress, an Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1954), a People's Artist of the RSFSR (1970), a People's Artist of the USSR (1986). She was a Winner of the Stalin Prize, 1st and 3rd classes (1948, 1951).
In 1943, V. Vasilyeva entered the Moscow City Theater School and graduated in 1948. While still a student, she made her film debut in 1945 with a secondary role in the film Twins. She played her first major role in 1947 in I. Pyriev's film The Legend of the Siberian Land.
V. Vasilyeva's filmography lists more than 40 films. From March 27 of 1948, in the space of 75 years, she was an actress of the Moscow Academic Satire Theater. She played over 60 roles. One of her best roles in the theater was Countess Almaviva in V. Pluchek's production of A Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro based on the play by Beaumarchais.
