The Tupolev Design Bureau is an aviation experimental design bureau established on October 22, 1922, by aircraft designer A. Tupolev. The Tupolev Experimental Design Bureau has developed more than 300 projects of different types of aircraft, small craft and aero-sleds. About 90 projects were materialized in the metal and over 50 projects were in serial production. More than 18 thousand airplanes were produced. Aircraft of this design bureau set about 280 world records for flight range and payload capacity.
Presently, the Tupolev PJSC is an enterprise capable of implementing all stages of the aircraft life cycle from the design to serial production, modernization, repair, after-sales service and operation support.
The Tupolev PJSC is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC).
