Stepan Neustroyev (1922-1998) was a commander of the 1st Rifle Battalion of the 756th Rifle Regiment, captain.
He was in the army since June 1941. In November of the same year, he graduated from the Cherkassy Military Infantry School (in Sverdlovsk), received the rank of lieutenant and was allotted to the 423rd Rifle Regiment of the 166th Rifle Division of the North-Western Front. From April of 1943 to the end of combats, he fought in the composition of the 756th Rifle Regiment of 150th Rifle Division. Captain Neustroev's battalion took part in the liberation of the Baltic States and Poland, in the combat assault of Eastern Pomerania, in the Vistula-Oder offensive operation and in the battles for Berlin, as well as in taking by storm of the Reichstag main entrance and in raising the Victory Banner on its dome.
After the war, he continued to serve in the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Urals, and since 1953, Lieutenant-Colonel Stepan Neustroev was in the reserve.
