The final stage of the tournament will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021. The following countries will participate in the European Football Championship: Austria, England, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, Wales, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland. The matches of the national teams in Russia will be held in St. Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena stadium.
24 national teams will take part in the championship, divided into 6 groups. The two strongest teams from each group and the four best third-place winners advance to the 1/8 finals. The Russian national team will play Denmark, Finland and Belgium from Group B.
