On July 3, a postage stamp dedicated to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (overprint on stamp No. 2107 Traffic Safety, 2016) will go into postal circulation
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the NKVD of the USSR was established on July 3, 1936. By 1940, a single form of a driver's license was designed for the whole country, as well as rules for accounting and technical inspection of vehicles.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, with the emergence of new mass-market passenger car models, the traffic police (GAI) began to establish separate divisions for the road patrol service, vehicle registration, technical inspection, and administrations of driver’s license exams. In 1998, the GAI was renamed the GIBDD, and in 2002, the names GIBDD and GAI became interchangeable.
Currently, road safety issues are handled in Russia by the Main Directorate for Traffic Safety of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (State Traffic Safety Inspectorate).
The postage stamp features an image illustrating the issue of child safety in vehicles, as well as a surcharge of the new denomination “35 rubles” on the stamp and the text in the margins: “State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. GAI. GIBDD. 1936–2026.”

On July 6, a postcard with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 125th Birth Anniversary of Pavel Rotmistrov, a Chief Marshal of the Armored Forces, a Hero of the Soviet Union, will go into postal circulation in the History of the Armed Forces of Russia series
Pavel Rotmistrov (1901–1982) was a Soviet military leader, a Chief Marshal of the Armored Forces, and a Hero of the Soviet Union.
During the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939–1940, he commanded the 35th Light Tank Brigade of the 7th Army. From December of 1940, he served as Deputy Commander of the 5th Tank Division (Baltic Military District), and from May of 1941, as Chief of Staff of the 3rd Mechanized Corps. From September of 1941, he commanded the 8th Tank Brigade of the 11th Army during the Battle of Moscow in 1941–1942. In April of 1942, he assumed command of the 7th Tank Corps, which operated in the area around the city of Yelets and later near Stalingrad. In the summer of 1944, the 5th Guards Army participated in the Belorussian Offensive. In August of that same year, P. Rotmistrov was appointed Deputy Commander of the Armored and Mechanized Forces of the Red Army.
After the end of the Great Patriotic War, from 1945 to 1947, he commanded the Tank Forces of the Group of Soviet Occupation Forces in Germany, and in 1947, he commanded the Tank Forces in the Far East.
The commemorative stamp provides images of warriors of different times; the main illustration features a portrait of Marshal of the Armored Forces Pavel Rotmistrov against the battle scene of the Belgorod-Kharkov Strategic operation.

On July 14, a postage stamp dedicated to the donation of bone marrow and the Priceless Letter Project will go into postal circulation
In July of 2021, JSC Russian Post, in association with the National Registry of Bone Marrow Donor and Rusfond, launched the Priceless Letter project, which aims to promote bone marrow donation in Russia. The Project’s goal is to make the procedure of searching for a donor as simple as possible through online recruitment, making it free and accessible.
Participation in the Project for people from all corners of Russia will help create a large national registry and increase the chances of recovery for thousands of people.
The postage stamp provides an illustration symbolizing a patient who receives a letter containing biomaterial from a donor.

On July 15, a souvenir sheet dedicated to the Putorana Plateau will go into postal circulation in the UNESCO World Heritage Site series
Russia has been a member state of UNESCO since April 21 of 1954. To date, our country has 21 cultural and 11 natural World Heritage sites. Since 2010, the Putorana Plateau has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an area with unique Arctic ecosystems through which the reindeer migration is taking place.
The Putorana Plateau is a heavily dissected mountain range in the northwestern part of the Central Siberian Plateau, located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It was formed resulting from the eruption of a massive volcano approximately 250 million years ago, which wiped out more than 70% of all life within a radius of hundreds of kilometers. The plateau lies on the boundary between the taiga and the tundra.
The postage stamp provides an image of the Great Irkinda Waterfall, on the cliff there is a Putoran bighorn sheep; the margins feature the area surrounding the Nature Reserve with its typical flora and fauna.

On July 17, a postage stamp dedicated to the 150th Birth Anniversary of statesman Maksim Litvinov will go into postal circulation in the History of Russian Diplomacy series
Maksim Litvinov (1876–1951) was a Soviet revolutionary, a diplomat, a statesman, and a People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the USSR. He was a delegate to the Third Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP) (1905) and helped organize the first legal Bolshevik newspaper, Novaya Zhizn’ (New Life), in St. Petersburg.
M. Litvinov was a member of the Collegium of the Council of People’s Commissars for State Control and a Deputy Chairman of the Main Concession Committee. From 1927 to 1930, he led the Soviet delegation to the League of Nations Preparatory Commission on Disarmament. From 1930 to 1939, he was People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
From 1941 to 1946, Litvinov was a Deputy People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the USSR; concurrently, from 1941 to 1943, he was the Soviet Ambassador to the United States, and from 1942 to 1943, the Soviet Envoy to Cuba. In September of 1943, he headed the Commission on Peace Treaties and Postwar Arrangements, established under the People’s Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the USSR. He retired in 1946.

On July 20, a postage stamp dedicated to the 350th Birth Anniversary of diplomat Boris Kurakin will go into postal circulation in the History of Russian Diplomacy series
Prince Boris Kurakin (1676–1727) was a close associate and brother-in-law of Peter I, the first permanent ambassador of Russia abroad; a Full Privy Councillor.
With the outbreak of the Great Northern War, he took part in the campaign against Narva, then participated in the siege and capture of Noteburg, Nienchanz, and Narva; in 1703, he was promoted to major in the Semyonovsky Life Guards Regiment. In 1705–1706, he was abroad for medical treatment and visited Germany, the Netherlands, and England. Upon his return to Zholkva on January 19, 1707, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel of the Semyonovsky Life Guards Regiment and, in the same year, was sent to Italy on a diplomatic mission - to insist on the Pope’s non-recognition of Stanisław Leszczyński as King of Poland. With the start of the campaign of Charles XII against Russia in 1708, he returned to the army to command the Semyonovsky and Astrakhan regiments in Prince A. Menshikov’s division; in 1709, he commanded the Semyonovsky Regiment in the Battle of Poltava.
From 1709 to 1712, B. Kurakin served as Russia’s representative in London, Hanover, and the Hague. Beginning with 1716, he served as Ambassador to Paris. In 1722, Peter the Great, setting out on his campaign against Persia, entrusted him with the leadership of all Russian ambassadors accredited to European courts.

On July 22, an envelope with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of Sergei Baruzdin, a writer and a poet, will go into postal circulation
Sergei Baruzdin (1926–1991) was a Russian Soviet writer, a poet, and an editor; a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR. He was a laureate of the M. Gorky State Prize of the RSFSR. From 1957 to 1965, he was a Secretary of the Board of the Union of Writers of the RSFSR, and from 1967 onward, of the Union Writers of the USSR. From 1965, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Druzhba Narodov (Friendship of Peoples) magazine.
Over the course of his life, the writer authored more than 200 books. Among them, there are many poems, short stories, and novellas. He also wrote non-fiction prose for children, as well as stories and fairy tales about animals.
The commemorative stamp provides a portrait of Sergei Baruzdin, the main image features photograph Soviet Tank Crews Celebrate Victory at the ‘Victory Column’ Monument by M. Redkin (1945) and excerpts from the writer’s story A Soldier Walked Down the Street.

On July 24, a postcard with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 200th Birth Anniversary of folklorist Alexander Afanasyev will go into postal circulation in the Geographical Projects of Russia series
Alexander Afanasyev (1826–1871) was a folklorist, a historian, a literary scholar, and an ethnographer. He was a member of several learned societies: the Society for Russian History and Antiquities at Moscow University, the Russian Geographical Society, the Moscow Archaeological Society, and the Society of Lovers of Russian Literature at Moscow University.
A. Afanasyev’s scientific and critical work began during his college years. His writings appeared in publications of Moscow University and the Academy of Sciences, as well as in the journals Biblioteka dlya Chteniya (Library for Reading), Filologicheskie Zapiski (Philological Proceedings), and Knizhny Vestnik (Books Bulletin), as well as the Moskovskie Novosti (Moscow News) newspaper, and others.
In the 1850s, A. Afanasyev began studying and publishing Russian folklore. His collections were based on texts collected by V. Dal’ and P. Yakushkin, which they had submitted to the Russian Geographical Society; fairy tales recorded by the folklorist himself or passed on to him by members of the Vtorov Circle. This collection of folk tales brought him widespread fame. The collections were reprinted many times and translated into foreign languages.

On July 28, a postcard with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 125th Birth Anniversary of Arctic explorer Georgy Ushakov will go into postal circulation in the Geographical Projects of Russia series
Georgy Ushakov (1901–1963) was an outstanding Arctic explorer and the founder of the first permanent settlement on Wrangel Island. In 1924, he became a Full Member of the Far Eastern Regional Geographical Society. From 1926 to 1929, he was the first representative of Russia for the management and population settlement of Wrangel and Herald Islands. He participated in the famous expeditions to Severnaya Zemlya in 1930–1932. G. Ushakov was the first Head of the Main Directorate of the Hydrometeorological Service of the USSR. He is credited with more than 50 geographical and scientific discoveries.

On July 29, an envelope with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 125th Birth Anniversary of Mikhail Romm, a film director, a People’s Artist of the USSR, will go into postal circulation
Mikhail Romm (1901–1971) was a Soviet theater and film director, a scriptwriter, an educator, and an essay writer. He was an Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR and a People’s Artist of the USSR. He was a winner of five Stalin Prizes (1941, 1946, 1948, 1949, 1951) and the Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR (1966).
From 1928 to 1930, he worked as a non-regular member of the staff of the film commission at the Institute for the Methods of Extra-Scholastic Work. In 1930, he began writing screenplays for the Sovkino film studio in Moscow. In 1937, he was offered an opportunity to direct the first feature sound film about Lenin - The Uprising. The film was released under the title Lenin in October and was a great success.
In May of 1941, he was appointed head of the feature film production department. From 1942 to 1947, he was the Director at the Film Actor’s Studio Theater. He had been an instructor since 1938, and from 1948, he headed the acting and directing workshop at VGIK (the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography). He also taught film directing at the High Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors. He was the author of books and articles on the cinematic art.

On July 31, a postage stamp dedicated to electric buses of the Mosgortrans State Unitary Enterprise will go into postal circulation
Since 2018, a new type of ground-based urban transport - the electric bus - has been in operation in Moscow. It is a trackless, electrically powered public transportation vehicle designed to carry passengers along established routes on public roads. This innovative kind of transportation is eco-friendly, maneuverable, safe, provided with low-floor, and equipped with climate-control. Currently, more than 2,400 electric buses owned by the Mosgortrans state unitary enterprise are in passenger service. In June of 2025, a new generation of KAMAZ-52222 electric buses took the routes #384 and #384k.
