On November 11, a stamp dedicated to ecology will go into postal circulation in the National Projects of Russia series
The key goals of the Ecology National Project are effective management of production and consumption waste, including the elimination of unauthorized dumps within city boundaries and a radical reduction of air pollution in major industrial centers, including a decrease of min by 20% of the total volume of atmospheric air pollutant emissions in the most contaminated cities.
Within the frames of this Project, the Russian Environmental Operator Public Non-Profit Company and JSC Marka with the partner sponsorship of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia arranged a Postage Stamp Drawing Competition dedicated to ecology. The Competition aims at popularization of environmental behavior patterns, separate waste collection and promotion of conscious consumption, which is an essential condition for achievement of the goals of the Ecology National Project.
The winner in the Postage Stamp category was Ksenia Gromova, 25 y.o., Moscow, with her Favorite Planet drawing.

Iosif Kobzon (1937-2018) was a Soviet and Russian variety singer, political and public figure, a music educator, People's Artist of the USSR (1987), a Cavalier of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland, a Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation (2016), he was awarded The Orders of Courage and Friendship of Peoples.
Since 1984, he worked as an art director of the vocal and variety department of the Gnessin State Pedagogical Institute of Music and taught variety vocal there (a Professor since 1993).
From 1997 to 2018, Iosif Kobzon was elected a Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In 2003, he was elected the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, and since January 2012, he was the First Deputy Chairman.
The repertoire of the singer comprised more than 1,500 songs, among which were compositions of quite different genres that formed a song chronicle of the century. High skill, sincere emotion, uniqueness, virtuoso command of the vocal palette, and peculiar magnetism of Iosif Kobzon's performing style will forever remain in the hearts of numerous adorers.

On November 18, stamps dedicated to Arkhyz and Elbrus resorts in the North Caucasus will go into postal circulation
JSC Marka in cooperation with KAVKAZ.RF launches a series of postage stamps dedicated to the resorts of the North Caucasus.
The North Caucasus is a multinational historical, cultural, and political region of Russia. It comprises the northern part of the slope of the Great Caucasus Range and the Fore-Caucasus region, as well as the west of the southern slope until the Psou River. The most promising resorts in the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District, both in operation and under construction, are combined into the North Caucasus Tourism Cluster. Among them are all-season tourist and recreational complexes Arkhyz, Elbrus, Armkhi, Veduchi, Mamison, Matlas, Tsori and the Caspian coastal cluster.
Elbrus is a mountain resort in Kabardino-Balkaria in operation since the 1970s. It is one of the key centers for all-Russian and international winter sports competitions and training of alpine ski teams of the country.
Arkhyz is an up-to-date young resort in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia. It is an all-season resort visited by up to 700 thousand tourists a year. It hosted its first guests in the winter of 2013, and presently, it is one of the three chief alpine ski centers of the country.

On November 19, a stamp dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of Yuri Knorozov, a scientist, historian, ethnographer, the founder of the Soviet school of the Maya language studies, will go into postal circulation
Yuri Knorozov (1922-1999) was a historian and ethnographer, a linguist and epigraphist, a translator, the founder of the Soviet school of the Maya language studies.
Among the works of the scientists, we can highlight the following: his article The System of Writing of the Ancient Maya and the translation of The Yucatan Affair (1955), monograph The Writing of the Maya Indians with a dictionary and catalog of symbols (540 items) (1963), Maya Hieroglyphic Codices (translation and study of all survived manuscripts) (1975).
A group of researchers headed by Yuri Knorozov over the course of the 1950s till the 1980s carried out the deciphering of the writing of Easter Island and the Indus Valley writing. In the 1980s, he visited the Kuril Islands several times, trying to solve the Ainu problem and its relationship with the peopling of America by ancestors of the Indians.
Yuri Knorozov was granted the Medal for Labor Valor (1967), the USSR State Prize (1977), the Big Gold Medal of the President of Guatemala (1990), and the Order of the Aztec Eagle, Fourth Class (1994). He was an honorary member of the Madrid Society for Mayan Studies and the National Geographic Society of the USA.

On November 24, a stamp dedicated to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Georgy Chicherin, a statesman, diplomat, will go into postal circulation in the History of Russian Diplomacy series
Georgy Chicherin (1872–1936) was a Soviet statesman, revolutionary and diplomat. Chicherin was an architect of a new diplomatic apparatus of the Soviet State; he outlined the tasks and methods of the new diplomacy.
In 1918-1930, Chicherin was the People’s Commissar of Foreign Affairs of the RSFSR, USSR. He signed the Brest Treaty on March 3, 1918. In 1920, he concluded a peace treaty with Estonia. In 1921, he concluded treaties with Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan. He headed the Russian delegation at the Genoa and Lausanne Conferences, which paved the way for the country escaping from the economic and political isolation.

Iulian Rukavishnikov (1922-2000) was an outstanding sculptor, a Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (1997), a People's Artist of the USSR (1988), and a winner of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1999).
In 1978, Iulian Rukavishnikov was appointed a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. Since 1997, he was a Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Art works by Rukavishnikov are available in museums and private collections in Russia and foreign countries. The best known works are monuments to Anton Chekhov in Taganrog (1960) and Igor Kurchatov in Moscow (1971), a memorial at the death site of Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and test pilot Vladimir Seregin in the Vladimir Region (1975), sculptures Water Clock (1990), Seagulls (1998), The Bird (1998), The Rooster (1999).

On November 29, a stamp dedicated to Matryoshka will go into postal circulation in the Decorative and Applied Arts of Russia series
Matryoshka is the soul and evocation of Russia, the most famous and worldwide popular symbol of this country; the artwork is both sculptural and pictorial; it is a painted wooden toy in the form of a stacking doll with a set of wooden dolls similar to the external figure but of smaller size placed one inside another.
An egg-shaped doll with a flat bottom consists of two detachable parts: an upper and a lower one. The traditional material for the manufacture of the toy are hardwood species, and the colors used for painting are multicolored gouache, ink, or aniline dyes. Wax for woodworking or transparent oil-based varnish are employed to protect the finished product.
A contemporary Matryoshka accumulates all the wealth of artistic traditions of the Russian Applied Arts. Its characteristic features are exceptional picturesqueness, brightness and festivity.

The Civil War in Russia (May 17, 1918 – October, 25, 1923) was a series of armed conflicts between different political, ethnic, social groups and State formations on the territory of the Russian Republic that followed the uprising of the Czechoslovak Corps in May of 1918.
The Civil War ended with the establishment of Soviet power in the greater part of the territory of the former Russian Empire, the Soviet Government's recognition of the independence of Finland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as the Russian, Ukrainian, Byelorussian and Transcaucasian Soviet Republics being formed on the Soviet-controlled territory, which signed the Treaty on the USSR on December 30, 1922.

On November 30, a postal block dedicated to the 125th Birth Anniversary of Ivan Dubasov, the Art Director of Goznak, will go into postal circulation
Ivan Dubasov (1897–1988) was a Russian Soviet artist and engraver, the Art Director of Goznak (1932-1971), an Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1959).
In 1922, Dubasov took part in the competition for the best sketch of a postage stamp dedicated to the 5th Anniversary of the October Revolution and the formation of the RSFSR.
The majority of the jury selected the Ivan Dubasov's drawing under the motto RSFSR 1917-1922 as the best artwork. After that he was invited to work at Goznak as an engraver and then as a layout artist.
Ivan Dubasov participated in finalizing the sketch of the coat of arms of the USSR, which was finally approved by a signature of the Secretary of the CEC Alexander Enukidze on September 22, 1923.
For nearly 40 years, Ivan Dubasov was the Art Director of Goznak. He designed more than 150 original postage stamps with diverse subjects.

On November 30, a stamp dedicated to the St. Vladimir Hall will go into postal circulation in the Grand Kremlin Palace series
The Grand Kremlin Palace is one of the palaces of the Moscow Kremlin built in 1838-1849 at the command of Emperor Nicholas I. The palace serves as the ceremonial residence of the head of the State.
The St. Vladimir Hall was named after the Order of St. Vladimir instituted by Catherine II in 1782. The premises connect the buildings of the complex constructed at different times: the Palace of the Facets and the Golden Hall of the Tsarina, the Terem Palace and the St. George Hall. Light enters the room only through a roof lantern in the center of the tent-shaped dome, from which a tiered chandelier hangs down.
The decoration of the hall corresponds to the Order symbolism and is implemented in the white, pink and pale green color palette. The walls and pillars are made of stucco imitating pink and white marble; the star-shaped parquet is laid out of more than twenty species of trees according to the drawings of Fyodor Solntsev by crafters of the Müller factory. The dome is decorated with stucco ornaments with the insignia of the Order of St. Vladimir.
