On January 17, four postage stamps devoted to berries will go into postal circulation in the frame of the Flora of Russia series



The vegetal world of Russia is one of the most important components of Nature made of a set of different vegetation communities, which grow in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Berries are kinds of fruit with a thin membrane, juicy pulp, usually with several solid seeds inside.

The stamps provide images of berries of red raspberry, black currant, blue-berried honeysuckle and pineapple strawberry.

In addition to the emission of the postage stamps, the JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Belgorod and Krasnodar as well as an illustrated envelope and four maximum cards will be published.
