Petrov Andrei Alekseevich (1919−1990) - Soviet film and theatre actor, People's Artist of the RSFSR. He was born December 19, 1919, in Saratov in the family of the Honored Artist of the RSFSR Alexei Petrov. In 1939, Andrei Petrov graduated from the Theatre College at the Central Theatre of the Red Army, after which he was accepted into the troupe CTKA (Central Theater of the Red Army ), on the stage of which he played many interesting and vivid roles: Zorka ("Big Day"), Vorobyov Vasily ("Immortal"), Kostenko (“Fall Silver”), Alexey (“Moscow. Kremlin”), Kabachkov (“Kind”), Fedya (“Factory girl”), Lomov (“A woman lives in the world”), etc.
Andrei Petrov's debut in cinema took place in the mid-1940s: in 1945, the film “It Was in the Donbas” appeared on the screens, and after it came out such films as “The Train Goes East”, “Kuban Cossacks”, “Meeting on the Elbe”,“Adjutant of His Excellency”,“Father Sergius”,“Bouquet of mimosa and other flowers ”. In the Central Theater of the Red Army, the actor also tried himself as a director. Most of the performances were staged by him in the 1960s: “Alien Place”, “Invitation to the Feat”, “Zest in the Sun”, etc. In 1973, Andrei Alekseevich became one of the teachers of the acting department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK).
The original stamp depicts theatrical symbols: curtain, masks and lyre; on the main image is a portrait of Petrova A.A. and a scene from the play by A.N. Ostrovsky “Guilty Without Guilt” in which the actor played in partnership with L.I. Kasatkina.
