October 26 in postal circulation will issue a card with the original stamp, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the State Museum of Oriental Art


The State Museum of the East is the owner of the largest collections of art in Russia from the countries of the East, the Caucasus and Transcaucasia, Kazakhstan and Central Asia, as well as significant art collections of the peoples of the North and Siberia. The museum was created on October 30, 1918.

Today the largest collections of the Museum represent the traditional art of Japan, China, Iran, India, the countries of South-East and Central Asia. The art of the Caucasus and Transcaucasia, Kazakhstan and Central Asia is widely represented. The museum collection contains works of painting, graphics, sculpture, arts and crafts and archaeological exhibits of more than 100 countries, over 160,000 items of storage.

The postcard with the original stamp depicts the building of the museum, on the main image - the exhibits from the collection.

In addition to the issuance of an envelope with the original brand of JSC Marka, a special blanking stamp will be made for Moscow.
