New Wave is an annual international competition for young singers of popular music. The main goal of the competition is to open for the audience new musical talents.
Since 2015, the competition is held in Sochi. In 2018, the final of the competition will be held from 4 to 9 September. The jury selected the 16 most deserving contestants from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Malta, the Netherlands, and Ukraine.
A new page in the history of "New Wave" - moving to Russia, which gives the competition a new breath and testifies to the strengthening of the country's progressive status in the international music arena.
The postage stamp depicts the Sochi Sea Trade Port and the logo of the New Wave International Competition for Young Singers of Popular Music.
In addition to the issue of a postage stamp of JSC “Mark”, the first day envelopes were issued, the first day stamps were made for Moscow and Sochi of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as the maximum card.
