A stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the electronic reconnaissance of Russia will be issued on June 29

In the history of the special services of the USSR and the Russian Federation, the electronic reconnaissance occupies a special honorable place.

The source of the electronic reconnaissance is the radio control station established by the order of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Soviet Republic in July 1918. In different historical periods, the electronic reconnaissance system was part of various national agencies, such as the Red Army, the NKVD, the MGB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the KGB, FAPSI, and the FSB, but the basic principles of its operation remained unchanged: the completeness and reliability of the information provided on the basis of the use of the most advanced scientific and technical developments.

Today electronic reconnaissance uses modern technical means. Experts of the highest qualification, worthy heirs of the legendary electronic reconnaissance veterans, serve in the electronic reconnaissance units of Russia. Their labor and knowledge contributed to many significant victories in the struggle for the security of our Motherland.

The postage stamp depicts various types of technical equipment used by the electronic reconnaissance services of Russia.

In addition to the postage stamp, Marka JSC will release the first day cover and a special cancellation stamp for Moscow.
