The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ is the 21st FIFA football championship which will take place in 11 largest Russian cities from June 14 till July 15, 2018.
Participating teams were divided into 8 groups, 4 teams each. The tournament will see 64 matches, including: 48 at the group stage and 16 play-offs to determine the winner and runners-up.
The finals of the FIFA World Cups™ are the most spectacular and interesting events, which always command a wide viewership and draw the interest of the whole sport community, as the top-rank national teams of the world and prominent football players take part in the competitions. The final match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will take place at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on July 15.
The miniature sheet depicts a stylized football with the pictures of stadiums and landmarks of the cities hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ imprinted on it, as well as the official branding of the 2018 World Cup. The miniature sheet is issued in two forms — without stamp perforation in the sheet (imperforate) and with perforation.
In addition to the miniature sheet, Marka JSC will issue a first day cover and first day postmarks for all hosting cities.
