March 29, a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of military commissariats in Russia is to be released into circulation



On 8 April 1918, county, district and governorate military commissariats were established by the Council of People’s Commissars Decree in Russia.

At present, military commissariats (voyenkomaty) are one of the links to ensure national conscription. They have greatly contributed and are still crucial for maintaining strong defence capability at the national level.

The postage stamp depicts the emblem of the Main Organisation and Mobilisation Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In addition to the postage stamp, JSC Marka is to release an FDC and a first-day postmark for Moscow.

Face value: 25 RUR.
Size of stamp: 37×37 mm, size of sheet: 131×131 mm.
Form of issue: sheet of 9 (3×3) stamps.
Circulation: 198 thousand stamps (22 thousand sheets).
